SkiMac Tirol Tahko is a full service rental shop at the Tahko Mountain Ski Resort. Whether you’re an experienced skier or just starting out, our trained and helpful staff guides in choosing the most fitting equipment for you. Thanks to our large equipment capacity we can provide quick and easy service even for bigger groups. In summer season we also rent mountain bikes, full suspension ebikes, Stand Up Boards and canoes. In winter season we also offer fatbikes and ebikes for Tahko’s winter trails.
We accept cash, most credit cards and Finnish Edenred, ePassi, Eazybreak, TyKy and Smartum exercise benefits as payment methods.

For summer season 2024 our bike selection is better than ever before! We’ve added more premium electric bicycles to our range ready to climb the Tahko Mountain. All our adults ebikes are now from Orbea. Also kids can now join the climb with our new kids ebikes. For downhill cycling we offer both full face helmets, chest protectors as well as knee and elbow pads and premium Orbea full suspension bikes.

Enjoy Tahko’s beautiful lake scenery on SUP boards and canoes! Our shop is located just by the lake so your adventure can begin in minutes. We’ll give you guidance in using the equipment safely. Life vests are included in the rental price. See rental pricing by clicking here.
Gather your friends or family and go SUP boarding! We offer so called tough boards as well as soft boards with a carrying capacity of 130 kilos. Paddling is easy and suitable for pretty much everyone regardless of age. SUP boarding is a fun way to enjoy the sun and the beautiful lake scenery of Tahko. SUP boarding can also be a very good exercise.
Pack your picnic and go canoeing! We offer traditional 3-seater canoes suitable also for first timers as well as traditional rowing boats. There are many nice destinations including Kammonluoto where you can swim and have a break at campfire.

Our PRO selection includes the latest rocker models, versatile all mountain skis and race ready slalom and giant slalom equipment. Our PRO skis are always in top condition and waxed and finished for each rental. The price of the PRO category is always the same so you can try out different pairs during your rental in order to find your dream pair!
Our most popular ski is the Fischer Pro MTN model which is designed specifically for rental use. The skis giant slalom like turning radius and forgiving torsional stiffness make it an easy to approach choice for most beginner skiers.
For New School skiers we offer fast and durable Fischer Twin Tip skis. Our Twin Tip selection includes Fischer’s Guru, Maven, Stunner Junior and Prodigy Junior models in lengths between 135 and 167cm.
The Fischer XTR is a quality alpine boot designed specifically for rental use. The boot’s durable materials and versatile adjustments make your day in the slopes just that much more pleasing. Remember that the boot should be of exact length with your foot in order to avoid unwanted movement. Boot sizes range from EUR 25 to 50.
We operate safety first and hence offer a quality Giro helmet with each ski and snowboard rental package. When it comes to poles we trust in the new alpine range by One Way Sport. We also rent helmets and poles separately.
Our snowboard selection includes snowboards, boots and bindings from Burton. All of our snowboards are of directional type and hence ideal for snowboarders who mostly snowboard the same foot in front. We trust in quality snowboards by Burton. As Your snowboard should be 15 to 25cm shorter than yourself and the shorter the board the easier it’s to maneuver also in slower speeds. Our snowboard lengths range from 80 to 167cm.
We offer soft snowboard boots by Burton. When choosing boots remember that the fit should be nice and snug in order to avoid unwanted movement inside the boot. Sizes range from EUR 30 to 49.
Our rental snowboards come with safe and easy to use Burton snowboard bindings to be used with soft snowboard boots.
We offer modern and quality cross country equipment to be enjoyed in the great XC tracks of Tahko that start just a short walking distance away. from our shop. Our rental equipment includes skis, boots and poles for both classic and skating styles, for kids and adults. We don’t sell tickets ourselves but you find the ticket office from the very same building with our store. You can also purchase your tickets online from the Tahko Mountain store: tahkomountain.fi/store.
Sure you can! You can pay for your rental in advance using our online rental shop. You can pay for your rental upon return as our system calculates the price automatically based on time used.
You can leave your things to the shelves of our shop on your own responsibility. You can leave your shoes in the shelf space you picked your ski boots from.
Remember that you are responsible for the equipment you rent so please handle them as your own. Use of the equipment is allowed only in the places they are meant for. Should the equipment disappear or damage you are liable to compensate the caused damage or loss. By signing the rental agreement you commit to the terms and conditions of equipment rentals for EU citizens negotiated by The Finnish Ski Area Association (FSAA) and the Finnish Consumer Ombudsmann’s.
As a rule of thumb the boot should feel just a bit too small when standing up straight. In the correct skiing position you lean forward and the heel moves backwards and frees space for toes. So the most important thing is that the heel doesn’t move excessively inside the boot.
